Concrete artificial stone walls have outstanding durability. StoneTek walls are created with high strength, polymer modified solid concrete which is internally reinforced and include a large footer which allows these walls to be extremely stable. Overtime rock walls may require some rebuilding of areas that have settled to much or have fallen apart from settling or maybe even a tree landing on it. If the rocks have been mortared in place, the mortar can loose its grip from the rock which could result in one or more rocks falling from the wall. Its not a question ' if " it will happen, its a question 'when' will it happen. Most rock walls can not withstand an impact from a car, our walls can!

Our concrete walls are far superior to block walls. Block walls are flexible walls and will sag overtime. You need additional reinforcement called geo-grid to hold the wall from falling over. This Geo-grid is inserted into the hill the wall is retaining. This is counter-productive because if the hillside wants to slide, the geo-grid will slide with the hill destroying wall. Block walls are used to reduce or eliminate the erosion from the hill side but are not designed to hold back an entire hill side which wants to shift. This requires a stronger more durable wall. This requires a StoneTek retainer wall. Concrete StoneTek walls are solid, reinforced with steel and have such amazing beauty compared to block walls.
